Here’s the stronghold and I’m the little bunny who can barely move around a sword going straight for it. If anyone sends me a picture of a bunny me that can’t move around a sword against a giant Apple stronghold castle… I’m putting it right here!
Windows Phone is getting more traction and Android is winning the polls with the most users. Yet, what those numbers don’t tell us is that the iPhone and iOS are both maintained by one single company (although we can say the same about Windows Phone with MSFT/Nokia and kinda Google with the Nexus). Apple is still winning in this, they are alo...

Ahhh Steam, my second girlfriend. I pass a lot of beautiful nights with you, we share a lot of joy and frustration together and of course, you take all of my money. But I don’t care, because you are worth every penny.
Valve is an awesome company; they make awesome games and they do awesome deals through their awesome Steam service. The company on the inside is as beautiful as the outside. Great passionate employees, liberty, strong focus on building things that gamers will love and the dynamic Gabe Newell on top making sure that gamers and employees are always satisfied and happy (also insulting Windows 8, but that’s normal since Microsoft has their own built-in digital store right now).
Valve is an example of flawless execution and success stories, one after the other. In my opinion, the design and experience of the Steam software is good, but does not represent Valve, their games and the whole service as it should.
It’s messy, unorganized and filled with old design principles and ideas: the exact opposite of what Valve is. Don’t get me wrong, I love Steam and it works impressively well, but I think we need to move around the furniture and repaint it, get something as sharp as the company itself.
Let’s go!

Let me begin by saying that I love Windows 8. I have it on all of my computers and I find that is the best OS for productivity and awesomeness.
OS X is good looking and polished, especially with the Mavericks update (A.K.A. fake leather killer), but I find that it is lacking some productivity details that makes it less comfortable. That was my experience with OS X as my main OS for a year and a half on the amazing 2011 MacBook Air. Yes everything can also be done on OS X and you can take the time to learn all of that to switch, but so is the OS X to Windows transition; it’s just a matter of where you are more comfortable. Linux is a usability nightmare the second you get out of the fake easy-to-use illusion layer they added with the new GUIs. Unless you’re a coder, don’t even think about it.
Back to Windows 8 now! I love Windows 8 and it is my favorite OS to date, but that thing is filled with massive flaws. Some even said that W8 is a usability nightmare and even if I don’t really like that expression they are kinda right in a way.
Confusion. Here’s that magic word!

I watched the Apple presentation.
Honestly, I didn't have high expectations. I mean, we all knew what was coming with the leaks and Apple's recent simple-safe-boring updates over the past few years. A lighter&thinner iPad with a better processor to hold a stretched grid of static childish icons that can even run two things at once, smaller MacBook Pros with Retina Displays without any wow factor or special feature and OS X Mavericks, which is, again, an obvious evolution from the previous OS.
What I found interesting though is the new Mac Pro. It looks like a trash can, but the design is not where I'm interested about this product. You see my main computer is an Alienware Aurora R3 and it's freakishly huge. I love that monster computer with the lights and striking design, but the idea of a compact super powerhouse on your desk in also very interesting. Power, lots of power and that is perfect for someone like me with huge power needs when rendering huge scenes in 3DS Max and compositions in After Effects. Of course, I would install Windows 8.1 on it and leave OS X on the side, but the computer itself is amazing.
The only problem is that for a super-powered workstation for professionals it sucks; they completely forgot how professionals actually work. They wrongly oversimplified the product to the point that it will be a pain to use in a lot of use scenarios.
Let me explain!
