Stop whining about the Xbox One's RAM

Seriously why are people whining about the RAM in the Xbox One?

Here's the thing, the XO has 8GB of RAM, 5GB which goes to games and 3GB which goes to services and everybody is freaking out.

First, Sony didn't say how their RAM is exactly shared inside their console, so it may be worse on the PS4.

Second, the Xbox 360 had 512MB of RAM and managed to give impressive games and services. The XO has 10 times more RAM available for their games only compared to the whole console before and the 360 was no slouch.

Third, the only reason Sony may not share a lot of RAM for their services is simply because the PS4 has no real services to begin with. Microsoft has SkyDrive, TV integration, SmartGlass, Xbox Music, Xbox Video, Bing, Skype, Kinect, phones, tablets, Live and Windows running in the back ready to switch at any moment or two do two things at the same time.

Stop whining, we're getting towards 10 times the performance of the previous generation, the only reason Sony has more performance is to compensate with the fact that they have less services, some exclusives lacking and need to compete on something. Even if the next generation consoles had "only" twice the performance, that's already awesome if we say double what the 360/PS3 had given us.

The PS4 is a great console at a great price for everybody. The Xbox One is the multimedia powerhouse that just happen to do more than just gaming, but will cost you more.

At the end of the day, there won't be a huge difference in the games, but more on your wallet and on how many features/services you want.
